Fees & Process

No surprises. Fixed fee, in writing, before anything starts.

A notarial quote is three things: my fee for the notarial act, the government or embassy charges to legalise it, and — if needed — translation. We price all three up front, at an affordable, competitive rate.

Notarial work Prices start from £95 fixed quotes in writing · government & embassy fees charged at cost

How we charge

  • Fixed in writing, before the work. Every instruction receives a written fixed fee in advance. You approve it before I do anything.
  • Affordable by design. A local practice, not a middleman: competitively priced work with no agency mark-ups on the legalisation stages your document passes through.
  • Great value, all-inclusive quotes. Your quote covers the notarial act and the coordination around it — you see one number, not ten.
  • Disbursements at cost. Government and embassy fees (e.g. the FCDO apostille) are charged at exactly what we pay, listed separately.
  • Urgency priced openly. If you need same-day execution or an expedited apostille, the premium is quoted up front — never assumed.
  • No-obligation quote. Send the document and the country: a fixed, competitive total arrives before you commit to anything.

Why local pricing is lower

We are deliberately affordably priced: competitively rated against practices across Northamptonshire and the East Midlands, and great value compared with London notary and legalisation agencies for the same FCDO-standard work. Because you deal with the notary directly, what you pay is for the notarial work itself — not an agency's overheads stacked on top of it.

Every instruction is different, so the exact fee depends on the document, the destination country and how fast you need it. Rather than publish a price list that could mislead, every client gets a written fixed quote first — no cost, no obligation.

Government legalisation charges are published by GOV.UK — legalisation fees & turnaround (GOV.UK, opens in new tab); The Notaries Society — legalisation explained explains how legalisation works (opens in new tab). Whatever they are, we pass them through at cost.

Getting an exact quote

Send a scan or clear photo of the document, say which country will receive it, and give your deadline. You will have a fixed total in writing — including disbursements — before you attend or pay anything.
