Apostille & FCDO Legalisation
I obtain Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office apostilles so foreign authorities accept the notary's own signature.
What this covers
An apostille is the certificate issued by the FCDO Legalisation Office confirming that a notarial signature and seal are genuine. It is required by every country that has signed the 1961 Hague Convention. After your appointment I submit the document for apostille and return it to you — you do not queue, post or chase the Legalisation Office yourself.
Typical documents
- Paper apostille — The standard FCDO certificate, applied per document — the government fee is charged at cost, quoted with your fixed notarial fee.
- e-Apostille — Where the destination authority accepts electronic apostilles — faster, fully digital, and usually the cheaper government fee.
- Document routing & return — Secure submission to the Legalisation Office and insured return to you or your overseas lawyer.
- Combined instruction — Notarisation and apostille handled together with one fixed, competitive quote.
What to bring / send
- A scan or photo of the document (or the wording you have been given) by email or WhatsApp.
- Your valid passport and proof of address, dated within three months.
- The name of the country and authority where the document will be used.
- Any deadline you are working to — it shapes the route we choose.
Ready when you are.
Send the document, tell me the country, get a fixed fee — we reply any time of day: this is a 24-hour service.
